Looking forward to an agility date in The Cotswolds!

Dog and person with award

This month’s agility highlight has got to be Team Flyte’s win of qualifying Heat 7 of the LOW 550 National Jumping Cup in the CG 5-7 category. Despite the testing weather conditions at the Godmanchester DTC Agility Show, Flyte and I were not going to let June’s driving rain and blustery conditions come between us and a possible place in this prestigious Final. Thankfully, the weather gods were kind for this class and Judge Sheila Taylor set a course appropriate for both the CG 1-4 and CG 5-7 to tackle giving handlers the chance to show off some of their European-style handling and distance handling techniques should they so wish resulting in some very exciting runs all round. Flyte was an absolute star putting in a faultless performance in a winning time of 32.776 the fastest time across both categories by almost 2 seconds (perhaps our run was wind assisted!). So a trip to the Cotswolds (the home of Cotswold RAW!) is in the diary having secured our place in the Final of the LOW 550 National Jumping Cup 2019 later this summer to be held at the Prestbury Park Championship Agility Show at the picturesque Cirencester Park and we can’t wait!
