James Adams and Willow are international household names in the Medium Dog Agility category. Renowned for their speedy runs, tight turns and impressive haul of titles and medals both in the UK and internationally!
However, Willow isn’t James’s only dog, in fact there are four others! Some older and retired much loved pooches, and some up and coming future agility stars (we hope).
We thought we would introduce you to Bay, known as “Lilhaze spring into Blossom” to the Kennel Club. Bay is our beautiful 5-year-old black and white boarder collie, who is starting to make a real impact in the UK circuits as an exciting emerging talent.
Bay competes in the large height category in the UK and internationally, and is the complete opposite to Willow in how she runs and thinks about agility. Willow is cool, calm and needs James’s support and direction during runs. Bay is fast, powerful and often leaves James behind in her dust – with James shouting cues in the hope she can still hear him. Bay adores agility and running as fast as possible, whereas Willow really likes to snooze on the sofa and hunt for snacks.
Earlier this year Bay won her way through the UK agility grades and now sits in grade 7, which allows her to enter the championship classes and to try out for Team GB. So next year, expectations are high for James and Bay, with her undeniable talent and super speedy runs, we hope to see her qualify for Crufts 2025 as well as step foot onto an international stage, hopefully representing team GB!
2024 could be a year to remember for James, with both a Medium and Large dog.
