Introducing James Adams | Agility Team GB 2019

Dog, dad and kid together

We are pleased to introduce a new and exciting partnership here at Cotswold RAW with James Adams.

James is an experienced agility handler who has been competing since early 2013. He and his partner Lizzie currently own four dogs and compete at a high level in agility all over the UK.

James is a carpenter by trade, however, he spends almost every morning, evening and weekend training, teaching and competing with his dogs: “Dog agility is a massive part of my life, in fact, it’s pretty much taken over!”
His passion and commitment has allowed him to progress quickly in his agility career. Both he and Willow were selected to be part of the GB development Squad after only 6 months of competing together. After impressing the management team and winning several rounds at the team’s performance weekend, the pair will now be representing the country at the European Open in the Netherlands and World Championships in Finland during 2019.

Earlier this year, James made the decision to change all his dogs’ diets to raw food. “After spending months researching all the different raw food companies out there, listening to opinions and analysing food labels, we were fast coming to the conclusion that we would never find a food that ticks all the boxes for all our dogs. We struggled to keep weight on two of our border collies; our spaniel gained weight by just looking at food and our third collie was unbelievably fussy!  However, after following up recommendations from friends and fellow agility handlers, we got in touch with Cotswold RAW for help. We found that their understanding of dog nutrition, their genuine passion for RAW and their superb level of customer service were all exceptional. We were totally blown away! It was finally easy, and we haven’t looked back since.”
We will be following James and his pack throughout the year. Lizzie will be blogging and keeping us up to date with their preparations, training tips, competition successes and even their learning curves on the way to 2020.
Keep an eye on our social media pages and blogs to follow James this summer.

James is also finding to launch his own agility business brand “Stand out Dogs – Agility”, with so many requests to run training sessions.
